A bit of costume and script research........

As usual I somehow manage to link my uni work to Marilyn Manson....Costume and script interpretation so far has asked us to pick a film (Cabaret) and  genre (film noir/horror) and this creepy and twisted idea pops into my head.  Just add an asylum, some strippers, drag queens and you're nearly there.....................

SEPTEMBER ISSUE!

I have the September issue of vogue ready and packed in my hand luggage, ready for my flight home, just watched the Vogue Catwalk DVD which came with it, and all I want now is a new wardrobe.  So the plan....win the lottery and make crazy purchases? I wish...................................................................................... BUT

What I love the most:
  • The new long length/midi skirt-womanly and elegant look:

  • Fetish!  I've always had a love for leather-but I adored Alexander Mcqueens 'female empowering':

  • Shearling-especially Gucci glamourous way:

What tickles my pickle today then?................................

Why, this of course........................................xo

I cant put it into words.......

Dsquared RTW 2011 fall collection.............What can I saay but, I love it.  A dark (slightly gothic) churchy wood cutter look, then with a hint of sensual feminine masculinity!  Just wow.

Happy blogging times :-)

Heard of burgers love?

This image actually made me laugh.....she is so thin,,she can wear a watch on her arm! The anorexia debate is ongoing in fashion, and my opions widely vary.  But this?! Really, for one thing, she must be constantly cold and hungry, two things I could not be.  I do understand and agree with the fact that most clothes sit bodies with little shape, hence the sticks that walk the runways, obviously the aim is to sell, so make sure the all the clothes look good=use tiny models, who  wierdly pull off all outfits.
However (my opinion of course) I do not see any beauty in pertruding bones and gaunt faces, really?  What man would want to cuddle that?
And no, I'm not fat jealous person, wanting to be thin, I'm a curvy size 10-12, healthy and happy.  And I suppose at the end of the day, its up to the individual as to how they feel, but how can you expect others to love your body if you don't even respect it yourself?

Something I noticed today.....

Why are we selling perfume with sex?

Why is it that many perfume adverts always oh so raunchy, often being rather suggestive, where perfume bottles are placed in 'interesting' areas of the female body.  look at Tom Ford for example, the Jil Sander (as shown in the images).  I personally love these photos, they bring accross an intimate edge, but it is true to say that, these images could give off a somewhat inapropriate idea?

YETI ME!!!!!

I would absolutely love a fur coat like this, fur is going to be huge once again this winter, but in a sophisticated lady like way, not in a 'hey, look at me I'm rich', so of way.  Therefore I have my (oh so smaller yeti coat) out and ready to wear in the snow, whilst also purchased fur acessories.  I think I will win the yeti award!  Coats like this make me love the cold winter months.

Off the Falkland Islands hopefully on the 6th September, dead exciting, and looking forward to get in a photoshoot or two whilst I'm there.  Should be amazing.

I've fallen in love again........

I absolutely love Gucci's Autumn/Winter 11, couture collection, the colours, the fur, the sheer beauty!  I'm definately making sure I have a faux fur coat this winter, a definate key item we must have.  The colours too, I love the 70's vibe and the colour blocking trend, I want them all!
